The fourth child of Johanna Christina Uebergang and Carl August Grosser. Caroline was born at Tabor in 1866 and attended school at the Tabor Lutheran Day School. Caroline married Ferdinand Paul Matuschka at Tabor. Her husband died in 1906 and for 34 years she remained a widow and carried on working the farm. A brave and courageous woman, she really lived her Christian faith and was generous in giving towards the Church, especially the new Church at Tabor. The marriage was blessed with 3 sons and 6 daughters. Caroline died January 4, 1940.
